The 1st Mental Health Leadership and Strategic Management Congress (MHLSM) was finally launched on 18-19 March 2021 via zoom.
The launch was pivotal. Governometrics Management Consultancy Services (Governometrics) and its participants explored advocacies for mental health beyond commonplace talks. Internal Control Development (ICD) was the consulting theme of the MHLSM Congress.
ICD was conceptualized by Governometrics when its Founder, Dr. Liberty Nolasco, identified the gap in practice based on social media exchanges last year. Seeing several accountability dimensions in the gap, Dr. Nolasco infused leadership and strategic management in the lens of advocacy. Such is to make interventions effective and relevant in microcosmic levels where situational leaders and managers are usually found struggling, groping and, at times, alone facing the challenges of problem solving for the family, community or organization.
Participants were introduced to the legal and policy contexts, public health as well as social science and development perspectives, and organizational and managerial sciences of ICD. Case studies were presented using the language of psychology. Workshops were conducted to ensure capability building.
ICD and MHLSM are basic capability building interventions that Governometrics originally conceived and formulated solutions for Mind Governance™ (MINDGOV™), grounded on its overarching framework for social transformation via Governometrics’ campaign series for HUMANITY. Alternatively, Governometrics introduced the field of leadership and strategic management for mental health (advocacy and project development) as well as MINDGOV™ as a major consulting field of expertise of Governometrics.

MINDGOV™ and MHLSM could be traced to the service programs of Advocates and Let’s Talk Empowerment. Throughout time, these programs had undergone various reformats to fully target the effective elements of intervention. Under the service platform of Governometrics, these programs were formulated into coherent, organized, comprehensive, competency based, and well targeted capability building activities.
After March 2021, Governometrics is scheduled to launch the rest of its MINDGOV™ service programs as corporate services. The second MHLSM Congress will take place in September 2021. The congressional theme moves from internal to organizational aspect of readiness, preparedness and control development.
