Governometrics Management Consultancy Services successfully staged the 1st Research Colloquium Series for the 2022 Advancements and Top of Mind International Conference (A.T.O.M.I.C.) on 17 November 2021.

Part of the success is attributable to the generous sharing of study findings by Ato Tamrat Woldemariam Shalebo, a Senior Economist and University Lecturer, on the research area of solid waste management implemented in the Southern region in Ethiopia.

The other factor rests on the dynamic exchange that took place in three different time zones on the said day.  Apart from Ethiopia, the experiences of the Philippines and Pakistan as well as the issues and opportunities open for improving solid waste management laws and policy implementation were tackled by participants from these nations.

Adding zest to the exchange was the passion of the youth for voicing out their concerns.  Students from the Pangasinan State University (Bayambang campus) had the biggest delegation of participants during the event.  Academics and researchers from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial University also attended.

It was not the first time that Governometrics saw splits of time zones in its events scheduling.  Although A.T.O.M.I.C. had its global launch simultaneously done with the global inauguration of Governometrics in December 2020, the cascade of its global agenda in 2021 was only conceived for Philippine integration via service offerings of Governometrics.  Such is despite the fact that Asians, African and Europeans  joined the different social media sites of Governometrics at the time the latter concentrated on campaigning for its service programs in the Philippines.  Came July 2021, however, overseas participants started enlisting in complimentary programs and inquiring into the paid programs of Governometrics.

Additionally, Governometrics has seen steady increase in interest, attendance and engagement of the youth in its service programs.  Research matters are a favorite destination of intellectual participation and discourse of the youth that enlisted in the past service programs of Governometrics.

A research colloquium is a good preconference activity to any scientific work as it crystallizes the commitment of the researcher to his work, profession and society.

However, in terms of serving the public interest, a research colloquium tells so much more as the previous situations related.

A.T.O.M.I.C. must have been sending its message out and clear to its intended beneficiaries – the future leaders of the Philippines and the world.

Attracting quality paper presenter and engaged audience are two important elements to a successful staging of a research colloquium.  The level, tempo and design of intellectual exchanges as well as the built in technical processes to ensure the essence of intellectual exchanges is obtained from any cohort of participants is another factor.  Governometrics has them all for A.T.O.M.I.C. and its clientele.

The research colloquium was organized as a Preconference to the 2nd Advancements and Top of Mind International Conference or A.T.O.M.I.C. scheduled on 17-21 January 2022.  The conference bears the theme, “Human Significance. 2050: Accounting the Gains of 2021 for an Investible Future”.  A.T.O.M.I.C. is anyone’s best platform for thought leadership and futures thinking.  It was launched to discuss crisis management strategies and initiatives to contribute resolves to the COVID-19 pandemic issues on quality of life and to advocate for the well being and capability strengthening of the future leaders – the children and youth, presently the most affected sectors of the said global health crisis.
